English Literature "BEOWULF"

Obraz
I love reading, all sort of books, articles. I  was always a bookworm, packed up with books.  It may sound weird but I stopped buying books, I do not have enough room to store them, I bought e-reader, instead, which appeared  to be an excellent device for reading and keeping books. There is one  sort of literature genre I like the most, a part of English literature, which is demanding and difficult. English literature is fascinating and sophisticated. One  of its kind. It is in fact Anglo-Saxon Literature, not everyone knows that William Shakespeare used Anglo-Saxon Language. The origins of English language derives from Englese or Angles, which stand for one of Anglo-Saxons tribes, they invaded England. The domination of Saxons was visible in Essex and Wessex, Angles in Highlands, Jutes in Kent. New geographical structure of England appeared, so-called counties. Anglo-Saxons were Germanic people and won culture domination again...

NO MORE SREBRENICA … I could easily say „I heard that song before”. The scenario of manslaughter and genocide repeats, constantly, ruthlessly. I read newspapers, I look at lines, at clusters of words, I read with understanding, yet what is written, though, hardly meets my head. Then I read between the lines, analyse. Fault, again! What emerges is beyond my capacity. Am I too dull?  What is wrong with me? I'm asking myself. Syria, Israel, Gaza and Ukraine – three the most hot topics, it overwhelms breaking news. I got it, still, the world did not learn its lesson, never-ending war crimes seem to be unstoppable, hatred and rage became predominant. When Yugoslavia eased to exist, the war broke out, Europe was awoken, suddenly everyone bliked an eye or two and exclaimed „There's a war out there!” - and there was – a horrid, unprecedented conflict, the most bloody, the most serious and the most fatal after the Second World War. Slovenia, Croatia, BiH – and then Kosovo –...

The Eurovision song festival used to be the most   unbiased, apolitical   contest … some comments were unnecessarily uttered. Poland had good show, Donatan and Cleo did their best. It was not boring, but funny, entertaining catching the eye.   Unfortunately it was not enough. Maybe next time … Holland was the runner-up. Thomas Neuwrith gave a really good performance, his artistic image is OK if you ask me, he expresses his inner perception, the style he likes. He didn't deny himself of being a man, he doesn't want to be a woman, either. His performance was meticulous, perfect. He's got talent and might become an excellent artist. And I like his motto "Be the best version of yourself rather than a bad copy of someone else!", and some of his statements "I created this bearded lady to show the world that you can do whatever you want." Truly, it is the essence, the freedom to be whatever you want … not everyone has to like it, the matter, ...

The Brighter side of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Nermin

Yab Yum form a very sophisticated, well-known brothel to a very nice and pleasant to the eye ... museum.

Obraz
Yab Yub doesn't have to be introduced, I think everyone knows what it means, the Buddhist's symbol of Yab Yum speaks for itself. I visited Yab Yum four times since I arrived to Holland, must admit, weird and interesting place. People said, once it had been a very „sophisticated”one, they are right. It still is yet as a museum. The place's got its climate, the interior slightly dimmed, with seep stairs leading you, up, up to the rooms. All's art-deco style, one enters Yab Yum and soon gets used to it, starts loving its „,modernity” The rooms are small, big, bigger than big, with dancing poles, simply … diversification of all sort. I like the „blue room” with the gigantic bed, some sofas, and a dancing pole. The space in this room is overwhelming, it kills the silence. The YY person told me; The girls could refuse … you know … excuses, yet, they could always dance … not such a big deal. I think it is not a big deal … if I were a guest … paid E12.000 for a champ...

MAGNA PLAZA - so much to buy ... so much more to see, all I mean is Rembrandt.

Obraz
Shop till you drop! That's right, in Mangna Plaza, the shopping centre just behind the Royal Palace is just more than possible. An equal feeling of spending money to the last penny you'll probably be having at Bijernhof.  But there are not the glittering jewels that caught my eye but the paintings of the most sophisticated painter ever - Rembrandt's. The exhibition is associated with the Rembrandt Research Project, launched in 1968, its main aim or rather goal is to gather all Rembrandt's paintings, in order to identify its authenticity, to acknowledge them. Under the leadership of Ernst van de Watering the least know Rembrandt's works came to the daylight. The group of worldwide known Rembrandt specialist is involved to bring his work closer to the laymen.  At Magna Plaza the guests will have a one life chance to see a complete collection of Rembrandt works, precisely 325 painting in one place! It is something, isn't it? The full size paintings are displayed in...

A history - a part of Our heritage - the museum worth being seen, Anne Frank's.

Obraz
Anne Frank life was always an intriguing matter, her very short life was an issue, it was something, everyone caught themselves interesting – how on Earth someone might have written so good, so passionately, so vividly and lively during the war. It was Anne herself, who managed. She hid from Nazi persecution with her family, a group of people in a small room, waiting, in frantic despair what tomorrow brings. Life or death. At the war time it didn't probably matter for them yet the overwhelming desire to live, to thieve, to survive the war persisted but sadly didn't save their lives. The building is  just an ordinary place, not an outstanding modern, eye-catching one, it was build by Dirk van Delft in 1635. Otto Frank had been working for gelling companies, he did realize what the Nazis politics was going to bring onto the whole world, how tremendously it changed the political powers, and how fragile the western countries appeared to be a...
